vogelsang engineering GmbH continues to expand: the next logical step included the expansion of its machinery in order to facilitate the fully automatic end machining of PVC profiles, especially busbars. With these facilities the company is able to fulfill the customer's desires, offering a complete solution in this area. The new template-free copy milling machine makes dimensionally accurate and efficient programming of individual milling, notching, and drilling possible for every PVC profile directly from a 10'' color touchscreen.

Employees at vogelsang engineering GmbH in Gevelsberg are making it happen: hand in hand, employees pledged a 2.000 Euro donation to the Lichtblicke e.V. campaign. “We really wanted to make a difference regionally to help families, especially children, in need in NRW. The campaign ,Lichtblicke’ has helped us achieve this goal and we are very happy that our donation can offer the support needed”, said Ralf Püttmann, Managing Director at vogelsang engineering GmbH.

Good turn out at the second Hagen Business Forum on the July 14th 2011. This time, the event was hosted and organised by vogelsang engineering GmbH, Gevelsberg. The plastics company invited visitors to premises that are normally reserved for assembling cable channels and ducts, technical profiles or window profiles. Employees catered to the guests’ wellbeing: “We were happy to provide the premises as a location; the Hagen Business Forum, after all, promotes networking with other mid-tier businesses, which in turn advocates establishing new contacts and even creating synergic effects” explains Ralf Puettmann, Managing Director at vogelsang engineering.

The sun came out in all its glory to accompany the vogelsang engineering summer festival held July 16th this year on the company premises in Gevelsberg. The town’s mayor, Claus Jacobi, welcomed the guests on site and spoke of how pleased he was about the healthy development of the company – not to mention the number of jobs that have been secured locally for Gevelsberg.

vogelsang engineering wanted to say thank you to all of its employees and their families. “It is only with your personal commitment, knowledge of the industry and sense of solidarity that we have been able to achieve this turnaround,” MD Ralf Püttmann emphasised. By consciously reflecting best practice principles and concentrating on the will to create new things, it is his desire to continue to propel further positive development. The specially developed iPad Butler stand is just one example of an extruded plastic profiles product that complements the existing traditional product range.

At the summer festival the company came up with something very special to strengthen the team’s sense of togetherness. The employees have very different cultural backgrounds and so the company made sure that this was reflected in the catering: alongside local specialities, Muslim food, Croatian salads and Russian deserts were also on offer. The children were magically drawn to the bouncy castle, pony rides and the merry-go-round. Diego and Friends rounded off the event with their music.

At the end of the day, everyone felt the same: it had been a fabulous festival that also helped to better understand different cultures.

Positive results, the employment of additional staff members and a return to the status of supplier to leading renowned companies demonstrates that vogelsang engineering GmbH has successfully achieved turnaround, is back on track and ready to take on the future with its new concepts.
